Well, i guess i should start by saying that life got in the way i did not start this blog the way i wanted. But it is still something i want to do, and i am planning on trying harder this time! Anyway, Max celebrated his first birthday on April 25th! I cannot believe time literally flies this fast when you are a parent; it seems like just yesterday he would sleep on my chest all day and now he barely lets me hold him, sigh. We held Max's party on Saturday the 26th and it turned out great! I was really pleased with the end result even though planning a child's birthday party is harder than i imagined.
These adorable plates are by Meri Meri and i got them from amazon. And yellow daisies look perfect in blue jars.
Peter Rabbit coloring sheets, carrot seeds and pots.
I loved these precious little goody buckets. Carrot shaped chocolates, Peter Rabbit puzzles and and bubbles all in a cute tin pail.
All of the kids got to take home a book, also cheddar bunnies in carrot shaped cellophane bags.
Vanilla cupcakes with blackberry buttercream icing. Cupcake liners and toppers by Meri Meri.
The food table. Thankfully Max's nursery is decorated in a Peter Rabbit theme, so i had lots of decorations all ready at my disposable. The banner (which i am obsessed with) is by Rifle Paper co.
My friend Brittney let me use thing darling antique highchair for Max's smash cake photos. Hat and banner made by my mom and i, and the bib is from Etsy.
We had such yummy food! Veggies and ranch dip, chicken salad on croissants, chips, fruit salad cupcakes....
Mr. McGregor's veggie patch cupcakes. I made all the veggies out of Airheads candy. Cupcakes are chocolate with chocolate icing and crushed oreo cookies. I just bought a letter tray from target and hot glued white fencing from Michaels around it.
Smash cake was made by publix, and cake topper made by me.
Peanut butter and strawberry jam on wheat bunny sandwiches, and bunny shaped peeps dipped in chocolate.
I made sweet tea and blackberry lemonade (which i just noticed i spelled wrong on the chalboard). And my messy kitchen in the background.
Max and daddy!
Max and I.
Could only get a couple of pics of this boy in his party hat!
The birthday boy! Love him so much :)
I cannot believe February has flown by so fast! February has definitely been a month of love, but as sad as i am to see all my pretty Valentines day decorations go, i am so ready for spring. Here are a few things that have made February awesome:
My sweet Max turned 10 months old on the 25th and I cant believe time is flying this fast, i wish i could slow it down. It is so fun to watch all the new things he learns everyday. I get so proud when he even learns the most simplest things, like waving or clicking his tongue :) This boy now has four teeth! (front top and bottom) and they couldn't be any cuter. Max eats so well, he will eat anything and everything. His favorite food so far is broccoli, he just shovels it in. I am still in denial that he will be one year old in two months, i literally almost had an anxiety attack going through his smaller baby clothes one day. I'm not ready for him to grow up just yet. ;)
Something else i have been loving this month is the Iphone app, Waterlogue. It turns your pictures into little works of art. I am obsessed.
Obviously i could go on, but you can see how much i love that app, kinda inspires me to take up painting....Anyway, i am hoping to get better at blogging and learning the ropes. There are so many things that inspire me i would love to share.
